Universite de Bordeaux
Ranked among the top universities in France, the University of Bordeaux is renowned for the quality of its academic courses and research. It has three main departments and multiple research laboratories. The IMS (Integration: from Material to Systems) laboratory participating in this project has over one hundred research grants currently running, targeting domains such as transportation, telecommunications, health, environment and energy.
Universite de Savoie
With a rich variety of multidisciplinary education and 19 research laboratories with an international reputation, as well as strategically placed near the Swiss and Italian borders, the Universite Savoie Mont Blanc is one of the most renowned universities in France. The Polytech Annecy-Chambery graduate school of Engineering involved in this project emphasizes on electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and material sciences, as well as environmental and energy sciences.
Brunel University London
Brunel University London is a world-class university based in Uxbridge, West London, with six colleges and institutes. The Electronic and Computer Engineering, part of the Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences College, is one of the largest disciplines in the University with extensive teaching and inter- multi- and cross- disciplinary research portfolios. The Brunel Institute of Power Systems (BIPS) that is involved in this project specializes on power systems analysis, control, power electronics, power market and power system economics.
The Open University
The Open University (OU) is a distance learning and research university, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education, with more than 250.000 students enrolled. One of OU's research priorities lies on Education, and specifically on Technology Enhanced Learning, as well as Energy, which is undertaken by the OU's Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology (MCT).
T.E.E. - West Crete Branch
The Technical Chamber of Greece (T.E.E.) is a public entity, the institutional framework of which dictates that it aims to promote science in the fields related to qualifications of its members, of technique and technology in general and their use for the robust economic, social and cultural development of the country. The West Crete Branch is located in a region with rich renewable energy sources and activity, partaking special interest on researching and advancing the capabilities of its 1.300 engineer members on these particular fields.
University of West Attica. The third largest university of Greece, it has five faculties and dozens of technology-oriented departments, currently hosting over 40.000 students. The department of Energy Technology Engineering covers the needs for specialized personnel in the multidisciplinary area of Energy, with extensive research performed on renewable energy resources, energy conservation, energy distribution and storage, as well as on engineering education.
